The Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya School of Government (KSG), Prof. Nura Mohammed, on Tuesday hosted Eng. Margaret Ogai, the Chief Executive Officer of the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK, and her team at KSG for a consultative meeting aimed at exploring potential areas of collaboration.
The discussions focused on how KSG and EBK can work together to enhance leadership, governance, and performance management capacities among professionals in the engineering sector.
Prof. Nura noted that while EBK continues to uphold technical excellence through its Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programs, there is a growing need to complement these efforts with training that builds strategic leadership, policy formulation, financial management, and ethical governance competencies.
“By combining EBK’s technical depth with KSG’s proven expertise in leadership and governance development, we can create a transformative partnership that empowers engineers to lead with vision and integrity — advancing Kenya’s sustainable development agenda,” said Prof. Nura.
On her part, Eng. Margaret Ogai welcomed the collaboration, noting that such partnerships and the exchange of best practices will play a pivotal role in revamping excellence within the engineering profession and ensuring that engineers are better equipped to respond to emerging national and global challenges.
The proposed collaboration seeks to nurture well-rounded engineering leaders who can effectively drive innovation, uphold professional standards, and contribute to the country’s economic and infrastructural growth.
