The Micro and Small Enterprises Authority (MSEA) is rolling out a major nationwide training program, equipping small business clusters with vital skills to drive Kenya’s economic agenda.

The initiative, part of the Kenya Jobs and Economic Transformation (KJET) Project, kicked off on November 10, 2025, and will reach 94 selected MSME clusters across all 47 counties over five weeks.

The training delivers a practical 12-module curriculum designed to boost productivity, performance, and competitiveness in ten key value chains under the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda.

These sectors include Edible Oils, Dairy, Leather, Textiles, Tea, Coffee, and the Blue Economy. Through hands-on exercises and case studies, the program empowers businesses to access new markets, stimulate growth, and create better jobs.

“This training marks a pivotal shift in how we support MSMEs in Kenya,” said MSEA Director General Henry Rithaa during the launch in Isiolo. “We are transforming them into engines of innovation and job creation.”

Following the classroom training, clusters will enter a three-month mentorship phase for tailored support.

MSEA is now inviting eligible businesses to apply for Cohort 2 of the training by December 31, 2025, via https://kjet.msea.go.ke/.

The KJET Project aims to create or improve job opportunities for at least 45,000 Kenyans.
