Bolt and MOOKH Partner to Deliver Safer Rides for Festive Season Events

By Eddah Waithaka

Bolt, the leading on-demand mobility platform, is partnering with ticketing pioneer MOOKH to offer event-goers seamless and safe transport solutions this festive season.

The strategic collaboration will give customers who purchase tickets on the MOOKH platform priority access to Bolt rides directly from event venues.

The partnership directly addresses the growing emphasis Kenyans place on safety when moving around, especially during high-traffic events.

A recent Ipsos report on mobility trends underscores this shift, revealing that 94% of Kenyan ride-hailing users now consider these services safer than conventional transport like matatus and taxis.

Furthermore, 79% of users believe ride-hailing has significantly reduced drunk driving by providing a reliable alternative for late-night travel.

“At Bolt, safety remains our top priority, and this partnership reinforces our commitment to ensuring that every rider, especially during the busy festive season, has access to safe, affordable and dependable transportation,” said Adega Murbe, Regional Marketing Manager for Africa at Bolt.

Murbe highlighted the platform’s robust safety features, which include real-time ride tracking, an emergency SOS button, and driver verification. He affirmed that MOOKH’s decade of experience as a trusted ticketing partner makes them an ideal ally in the mission to ensure celebrations begin and end safely.

As part of the collaboration, Bolt will provide exclusive ride discounts for attendees of MOOKH-powered events.

New riders will receive 60% off their first two rides, while existing Bolt users will enjoy a special festive-season discount of 30% off for two rides over the next three months.

This alliance coincides with MOOKH’s 10-year anniversary, marking a continued commitment to shaping the events landscape in Kenya.

George Gachui, Co-Founder of MOOKH, described the partnership as a strategic investment in the event community.

“The partnership between MOOKH Africa and Bolt is not simply a promotional agreement; it is a strategic investment in the convenience, safety, and overall satisfaction of the regional event community,” Gachui stated.

By integrating priority transport with event ticketing, the two companies are creating a unique, end-to-end solution for attendees, directly responding to the demand for reliable and safe travel during the bustling festive period.
