Coca-Cola delighted Nairobi commuters by offering free matatu rides during the morning rush hour. This campaign not only eased the burden of the daily commute but also brought smiles to people’s faces, showcasing Coca-Cola’s commitment to community engagement and support.

Thousands of travelers benefited from this generous gesture, which provided transport from Ngara stage to popular destinations like Westlands, Uthiru, Kangemi, Limuru, and Wangige.
Launched at 6 a.m., the “Javv na Coke” campaign from Coca-Cola allowed commuters to enjoy complimentary matatu rides by simply purchasing a Coke for Ksh 20 in a returnable bottle, irrespective of their journey’s fare.
This initiative brought a wave of happiness and relief to travelers, particularly during the challenging financial strain of January. “God is great! I usually pay Ksh 120 for a round trip to Limuru, but today I saved that money and got a Coke instead,” exclaimed a thrilled Florence Waweru, highlighting the profound impact of the initiative on her daily expenses.

Regular traveler Justus Ndunda, who commutes frequently between Ngara and Limuru, shared his excitement: “I found out about the campaign at the stage and didn’t hesitate to take advantage of it. Normally, I would spend Ksh 60 on my fare, but today I saved Ksh 40 and enjoyed a delicious Coke instead.” While it remains uncertain whether Coca-Cola will roll out the Javv na Coke campaign to additional stages in Nairobi, many people are optimistic about the possibility of similar initiatives in the future.
