Diamond Trust Bank (DTB) today launched the second phase of its #AchieveMoreGirl initiative, committing to provide 100,000 schoolgirls across Kenya with sustainable menstrual health products and hygiene education by 2030.

DTB Group CEO Nasim Devji announced the pledge during a distribution drive at Sinaga Girls Secondary School in Siaya County, where 1,500 girls received reusable menstrual hygiene kits.
The event also marked the bank’s successful fulfillment of its 2020 promise to support 30,000 girls by 2025.
The #AchieveMoreGirl initiative, a flagship program by DTB, tackles period poverty by supplying reusable sanitary products and hygiene education to keep girls in school.
The program specifically targets marginalized communities where access to menstrual health resources remains a challenge.
Nasim Devji emphasized the program’s impact, “Since 2020, we’ve reached 30,000 girls across 22 counties, but the need is still immense. That’s why we’re scaling up because no girl should miss school simply because of her period.”
She added that DTB will collaborate with county governments and partners to expand the initiative, ensuring it reaches the most vulnerable girls.
Beyond product distribution, the program includes training workshops where communities learn to make reusable pads, helping break stigma and promote sustainability.
So far, #AchieveMoreGirl has benefited 30,000 students in 120 schools, reducing absenteeism and boosting confidence among adolescent girls.
The initiative aligns with DTB’s Sustainability and Citizenship Master Plan, supporting SDG 3 (Good Health), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 5 (Gender Equality).
“When we remove barriers to education, we unlock potential,” Devji said. “DTB is proud of our progress and we’re just getting started.”
