Kenya took a major leap in advancing its healthcare sector as the government and industry leaders officially opened the 25th Medexpo Kenya 2025, the country’s largest international medical and healthcare trade exhibition.
Hon. Dr. Tom Menge, Director of the Directorate of Health Products and Technologies at the Ministry of Health, inaugurated the high-profile event at Nairobi’s Sarit Expo Centre.
The ceremony attracted key players from healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and technology, along with government officials, investors, and global exhibitors.
Dr. Menge praised Medexpo Kenya for cementing the country’s position as a regional leader in medical innovation.
“Medexpo Kenya has strengthened our health systems by enabling access to advanced technologies, fostering partnerships, and attracting foreign investment in healthcare,” he said.
Now in its 25th year, the expo has become a vital platform for local and international companies to display the latest in medical equipment, diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, hospital infrastructure, and e-health solutions.
This year’s event features exhibitors from more than 30 countries, highlighting growing global interest in East Africa’s healthcare market.
Organizers spotlighted this year’s theme, “Driving Healthcare Innovation and Access in Africa,” stressing the need for inclusive health solutions amid global health challenges and rapid tech advancements.
The three-day expo will include exhibitions, product launches, panel discussions, and networking sessions aimed at boosting trade partnerships and knowledge-sharing.
For Kenya’s health business community, the 25th Medexpo not only marks 25 years of progress but also sets the stage for sustainable healthcare transformation across Africa.
