On Tuesday, Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro declined to disclose his next political moves during a press conference, following his removal as chair of the Budget and Appropriations Committee.
During a press conference at his KICC office, Nyoro thanked his supporters for the chance to lead one of the National Assembly’s most powerful committees.
Last week’s ousting, widely seen as a break from President William Ruto’s camp, had sparked widespread speculation about Nyoro’s political future.
However, the MP clarified that he needed more time to evaluate the situation before making any announcements.“I don’t want to discuss any leader further. I left my position just a week ago, and I still need to understand many things before I speak,” Nyoro said.
The MP acknowledged the growing public interest in his next move but emphasized that he would wait for the right time to address the matter.

“I know people have expectations about what I should say, when, and how. I receive messages daily advising me on what to do and how to do it,” he added.
Nyoro revealed that he had only learned about his removal through the media, as no one from the Kenya Kwanza leadership had contacted him to explain the decision.
“I am grateful to the Kenyan people for allowing me to serve in that role, especially during a critical time when our country needed us to deliver on our mandate,” he stated.
Responding to criticism from fellow MPs who accused him of favoring his constituency with disproportionate resources during his tenure, Nyoro refused to engage in political attacks.
“I don’t respond to evil with evil, nor do I answer insults with insults,” he said. “In politics, you draw your line and decide what kind of politics you want to practice.”
Nyoro also reiterated that he remained unclear about the reasons behind his removal from the committee.
He was among several MPs axed from their leadership roles, including Embakasi North’s James Gakuya (Trade and Industry Committee), Githunguri’s Gathoni Wamuchomba (Constitutional Implementation Oversight Committee), and Runyenjes’ Karemba Muchangi (Labour Committee), among others.
