MultiChoice Kenya is celebrating three decades of transforming the country’s entertainment landscape with the launch of its “Your World of More” anniversary campaign.
The initiative, running until September 30, 2025, honors loyal customers and reaffirms the company’s commitment to delivering premium content on DStv, GOtv, and Showmax.
At a vibrant event held at MultiChoice Kenya’s offices, Managing Director Nzola Miranda highlighted the company’s impact.
“For 30 years, we have driven Kenya’s entertainment evolution, amplifying African stories and creating opportunities for local talent,” he said. “This milestone belongs to every viewer who has laughed, cried, and grown with us.”
Since 2016, MultiChoice has invested over $50 million in Kenya’s film industry, partnering with 30+ production houses and producing 100+ original local titles. These collaborations have generated jobs and empowered small businesses, fueling sector growth.
Principal Secretary Fikirini Jacobs (State Department for Youth Affairs, Creative Economy & Sports) praised MultiChoice’s role in skills development.
“Multichoice has empowered our creatives through mentorship and investment,” he said. “We’re now partnering with industry legends to co-create training programs for future storytellers.”
Kenya Film Commission CEO Timothy Owase applauded MultiChoice for elevating Kenyan content globally.
“Their support for authentic African narratives has strengthened our creative economy,” he noted. “This anniversary proves the power of public-private partnerships in building a dynamic, ethical film industry.”
The celebrations also honored film legends, actors, producers, and directors who shaped MultiChoice’s legacy.
Since its 1995 launch, the company has pioneered homegrown storytelling, from hit telenovelas to blockbuster Showmax originals.
As the “Your World of More” campaign rolls out, MultiChoice invites Kenyans to celebrate 30 years of world-class entertainment—and look ahead to a future of more innovation, more stories, and more shared moments.
