Safaricom today launched the M-PESA Sokoni Festival, a nationwide campaign offering customers exclusive deals and entertainment as part of its 25th-anniversary celebrations.

The festival will feature over 150 local and national businesses providing massive discounts on electronics, household items, fashion, travel, and more.
Safaricom CEO Dr. Peter Ndegwa said, “M-PESA Sokoni is more than a marketplace—it’s a family-friendly event where customers enjoy unbeatable deals, businesses grow their brands, and everyone experiences great entertainment.”
The campaign kicks off in Mombasa with Safire Connect, a forum on hustling, personal branding, and financial wellness.
The M-PESA Foundation will also host Wezesha Mama, empowering women entrepreneurs with digital training and seed capital.

Safaricom will recognize top-performing M-PESA agents and hold Grow with Safaricom Business forums to help SMEs tackle challenges like digitization and marketing.
The Mombasa leg culminates on June 7 at Mombasa Sports Club Grounds with a vibrant festival. Customers can also access deals online via Masoko.com.
The two-month campaign celebrates M-PESA’s 18th anniversary, highlighting its impact on Kenya’s digital economy.
