Today, the Safina Party kicked off a high-intensity campaign in Kariobangi North, focusing its mobilisation efforts on its MCA candidate, Chris ‘Dangote’ Wandera, ahead of the 27 November 2025 by-election.

Party Leader Jimi Wanjigi directly appealed to residents during a campaign meeting, urging them to join Safina. He framed the party as a modern “Noah’s Ark” for all citizens seeking change.
“Safina is a place for all who want to see Kariobangi North progress,” Wanjigi stated. “We are here to deliver leadership that listens and acts.”
Deputy Party Leader Willis Otieno emphasized Wandera’s local ties as the reason for the party’s full support. He highlighted the candidate’s record of direct engagement with the ward’s youth.
“Chris understands this community. He listens to the people and that is the kind of leadership Safina stands for,” Otieno told attendees.
Addressing his supporters, candidate Wandera asked for a mandate to improve services and strengthen the ward’s representation in the County Assembly.
He pointed to years of neglect in the area and pledged to provide accessible and accountable leadership.“I’m ready to work for the people of Kariobangi North,” Wandera said. “I want to bring clean leadership and ensure residents get the services they deserve.”
Campaign organizers are leveraging Wandera’s status as a Gen Z politician to connect with younger voters, promoting his energy and fresh ideas.
The mobilization strategy combines traditional door-to-door visits and community meetings with a robust social media push to reach a broader audience.
Supporters at the launch expressed strong optimism, believing “Dangote” represents a new, community-rooted approach to solving the ward’s persistent challenges.
The Safina Party has pledged to sustain this aggressive campaign tempo over the next several weeks to secure a strong victory for Wandera in the November poll.
