Tusker Oktobafest Goes Nationwide, Bringing the Party Directly to Kenyans

By Eddah Waithaka

Tusker Oktobafest is exploding across the country. Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) launched the festival’s sixth edition Thursday, unveiling an ambitious, deconstructed format that will deliver the celebration to five major regions.

The company ignited the festivities with an industry night at the Tusker Brew House, gathering media and influencers to set the stage for a month-long tribute to Kenyan beer and culture.Gone is the single, central event.

This year, the festival kicks off with a nostalgic “Kulture” experience at Nairobi’s Carnivore Grounds on October 4th, featuring a throwback to 2000s Kenyan hits.

The celebration will then roll out across the nation, hitting Eldoret, Bamburi, Kisumu, and Nanyuki on subsequent weekends.“We are taking the festival to our consumers,” said Marketing Manager Mark Mugisha, outlining the brand’s new vision.

“This move allows us to truly meet them where they are and deepen our social and economic impact across the country.”The new strategy aims to create more authentic local experiences while empowering regional economies.

Edward Kimathi, Ag. KBL Commercial Director, emphasized that the approach “opens up our value chain to a wider network of local service providers and talent. As a proud Kenyan brand, KBL remains committed to growing and supporting the local economy.”

Beyond the main events, the festival will activate over 200 bars and restaurants with themed promotions. Beer lovers can also hunt for flash sales and exclusive discounts on their favorite KBL beers on ke.thebar.com and through select e-commerce partners.
