UDA Lobby Groups Demand Cleophas Malala to Choose: Denounce Tawe Movement or Resign

United Democratic Alliance lobby groups are calling on UDA General Secretary Hon. Cleophas Malala to publicly disassociate himself from the Tawe movement, a movement in the western region under the leadership of the First Minister and the Speaker of the National Assembly, or resign as General Secretary of the UDA Party.

National Chairman of UDA Lobby Groups Douglas Shiyuka said that UDA General Secretary Hon. Cleophas Malala had failed as party leader and UDA members had lost confidence in his performance as General Secretary of the UDA party.

“We give 14 days’ notice to the Secretary General of UDA Hon. Cleophas Malala to publically dis associate with Tawe Movement, that is, a movement in western region that is under mining the leadership of the prime cabinet secretary and the speaker of the national assembly or resign as the secretary General of the UDA Party,” he said.

The lobby also called on cabinet secretary nominees outside the Kenya Kwanza Coalition to be loyal to the President and focus their performance on the implementation of the Kenya Kwanza Manifesto.

Further they asked His Excellency the President to consider appointing them so that they can be part of the implementation of the Kenya Kwanza Manifesto.

“We call upon the UDA Secretary General Hon. Cleophas Malala to stop undermining the leadership of the Prime Cabinet Secretary Hon. Dr. Musalia Mudavadi and the national assembly speaker the Right Hon. Moses Wetangula, ” the lobby said.

“We take this opportunity and congratulate His Excellency the president for showing great leadership and commencing the implementation of the positive input from the Gen Zs and other patriotic Kenyans We applaud him for putting Kenya first and forming a broad based Government that is inclusive,” said the lobby.
