She emphasized the organization’s achievements in bolstering networks of persons with disabilities, empowering them to advocate for their rights while actively engaging with policymakers.

Nduta pointed out that this empowerment has led to increased confidence among individuals as they seek to influence inclusion in development decisions.

Despite facing financial challenges and disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, UDPK has demonstrated remarkable resilience by leveraging technology and forming strategic partnerships.

Although changing U.S. policies temporarily stalled a potential collaboration with USAID, Nduta continues to express optimism about the possibility of establishing new alliances.

One of UDPK’s main priorities is to dismantle societal and structural barriers that restrict opportunities for persons with disabilities.

The organization actively promotes workplace inclusion, encouraging employers to provide accessible job opportunities in public and private sectors. Through workshops and community engagements, UDPK works to shift perceptions about disability, eradicate stigma, and foster a more inclusive society.

With a clear roadmap and a strong commitment to advocacy, the organization is resolute in its mission to transform lives. As Nduta stated, realizing full inclusion necessitates a collective effort, and UDPK is prepared to take the lead in this initiative.
