Airtel Kenya Hits 24 Million Subscribers as Network Expansion Gains Momentum

By Eddah Waithaka

Airtel Kenya has surpassed 24 million subscribers, driven by its aggressive network campaign and ongoing expansion efforts.

The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) confirmed the milestone in its latest sector statistics report, showcasing rising consumer confidence in Airtel’s nationwide coverage from cities to remote regions.

During the launch of its ‘Na Bado Tunagrow’ network campaign, Airtel Kenya Managing Director Ashish Malhotra emphasized the company’s focus on innovation to keep pace with evolving customer demands.

“Over 24 million Kenyans now trust Airtel, and we are grateful for their support. But this is just one step in our journey. We remain committed to Kenya, and while we’ve invested heavily, our mission to enrich lives and drive progress continues,” Malhotra stated.

Airtel has consistently invested in network upgrades, customer service touchpoints, and distribution infrastructure.

Through Airtel Money, the telco has also advanced financial inclusion, offering accessible digital financial services.

Recent network expansions in North Eastern Kenya covering Mandera, Wajir, and Garissa now provide previously underserved communities with reliable connectivity.

“Our upgraded Airtel Money platform delivers faster, more innovative services, and Kenyans are increasingly relying on us for their financial needs. We’ll keep enhancing our offerings to promote inclusion,” Malhotra added.

The ‘Na Bado Tunagrow’ campaign underscores Airtel’s commitment to growth, fueled by customer trust and the belief that every Kenyan deserves cutting-edge digital services.

“We thank every Kenyan who has supported us, but we’re not stopping. We will keep growing, improving, and serving. Na bado tunagrow,” Malhotra affirmed.

With sustained investment and customer-centric innovations, Airtel Kenya solidifies its position as a key player in the country’s telecom sector.
