Huawei Kenya launched its latest lineup of next-generation wearables and tablets today, introducing the premium GT6 Series and the versatile MatePad TXZ range to the Kenyan market.
The launch solidifies the tech giant’s push to deliver smarter living solutions that blend advanced health tracking, luxury design, and seamless cross-device integration.
The new GT6 Series and GT6 Pro watches answer growing consumer demand for wellness-driven technology.
They pack emotional wellbeing features, advanced sports analytics, and ultra-long battery life into bodies crafted from premium materials like sapphire glass and titanium alloy.
“Kenya is a rapidly growing hub for digital wellness, and we’re proud to bring these global innovations here,” said Jin Renbin, Device Manager at Huawei Kenya.
“These devices are slim, powerful, and smart, designed for both style-conscious individuals and serious fitness enthusiasts.” The launch reinforces Huawei’s global leadership in wearables.
The company has shipped over 180 million smart wearables globally and ranked first in worldwide wrist wearable shipments for the first three quarters of 2024.
Blending Wellness, Performance, and Productivity
Huawei designed the GT6 Series to serve as a comprehensive health and performance partner. The wearables feature advanced cycling analytics, improved heart-rate algorithms, and enhanced sleep tracking.

They also maintain seamless compatibility across Android and iOS, ensuring users stay connected regardless of their smartphone.
Alongside the watches, Huawei introduced the MatePad TXZ series, tablets built for PC-level productivity and creativity. The PaperMatte display offers a glare-free, paper-like viewing experience, ideal for students, creators, and professionals working on the go.
Seamless Ecosystem Integration for a Smarter Life
A core message of the launch was Huawei’s commitment to a barrier-free ecosystem. The new devices work fluidly across operating systems, allowing users to transition effortlessly between their phones, tablets, laptops, and wearables.
“Technology needs to add value to everyday living,” said Wilfred Otieno, Marketing Manager for Devices at Huawei Kenya. “With this new lineup, we are bringing together health innovation, premium design, and seamless connectivity to empower every user to live smarter and better.”
He emphasized the company’s focus on inclusive technology, adding, “We’re delivering flagship-level capabilities at prices that work for Kenyan professionals, athletes, students, and everyone in between.”
The launch positions Kenya among the first African markets to receive the GT6 Series, following a global rollout in China, Malaysia, and other key regions.
The Huawei GT6 Series, GT6 Pro, and MatePad TXZ tablets are now available in Huawei stores and authorized retail partners nationwide, with promotional bundles and in-store demos available for consumers.
