Adidas Originals Launches First Standalone Store in Kenya at Westgate Mall

Sports and lifestyle brand Adidas Originals has opened its new store at Westgate Mall in Westlands, Nairobi, marking a major retail expansion in Kenya.

WAMA International Group, which operates over 30 stores across different regions, brought the global brand to the country as part of its aggressive East Africa expansion plan.

The store promises an elevated retail experience, offering Adidas Originals’ lifestyle footwear, apparel, and accessories for men and women.

Located on the first floor of Westgate Mall—a premier shopping destination with more than 80 stores—the outlet officially opened to the public on April 4 with a vibrant launch party.

The event featured live DJs, sneaker customization, and a celebration of local culture, reflecting the brand’s commitment to creativity, inclusion, and sustainability.

This launch reinforces Adidas’ growing focus on Africa, with tailored products and experiences designed to resonate with local consumers while maintaining cutting-edge design.

Brett Burgess, Senior Director for Africa Export at EM South, said, “Partnering with WAMA Group to bring the first Adidas Originals standalone store to Nairobi has been an incredible experience.”
