The Board of The Nairobi Hospital (TNH) today reaffirmed its commitment to service excellence and strong governance during a press briefing today at the hospital’s amphitheater.

The address followed renewed reports about internal management disputes and an ongoing criminal probe. Newly appointed Board Chair Barcley Onyambu assured the public that the hospital remains focused on delivering quality healthcare.
“Leadership confidence is critical for an institution as vital as The Nairobi Hospital,” Onyambu said. “Recent integrity concerns are isolated incidents. The Board operates as a united team, driven by shared values and strategic oversight.”
Acting CEO Felix Osano echoed the sentiment, stating, “We are taking decisive action to resolve challenges and maintain our position as Kenya’s leading healthcare provider.”
The hospital has recently reshaped its board, appointing new members to strengthen governance. “These changes will drive institutional excellence,” Onyambu added.

The Board addressed the ongoing Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) probe, which began with a raid on the hospital.
While the High Court has temporarily halted the investigation and granted anticipatory bail to Board members, TNH assured stakeholders of full cooperation with authorities while protecting patient confidentiality.
Internal disputes, including suspended doctors and leadership clashes, have also drawn scrutiny. However, the Board emphasized that operations remain uninterrupted, with measures in place to ensure continuity.
“Our staff continues to deliver exceptional care,” Onyambu said. “We thank Kenyans for their trust and pledge to uphold it as we move forward.”
The hospital urged stakeholders to disregard speculation, reaffirming its dedication to transparency and service.
