SuperSport, Africa’s biggest sports broadcaster, delivers the most expansive FIFA World Cup coverage in history. The company, a subsidiary of MultiChoice Group and a CANAL+ brand, announces today that all 104 matches of the FIFA World Cup 2026™ will air live across English and Portuguese-speaking Africa.
For the first time, the tournament reaches every DStv subscriber. From DStv Access through to DStv Premium, customers will enjoy live action, highlights, and repeats. MultiChoice Group makes this World Cup its most accessible ever.
The expanded tournament features 48 nations, up from 32. It kicks off in Mexico City on 11 June 2026 and runs until the final in New Jersey on 19 July 2026. The longer format gives viewers the largest number of matches in World Cup history.
To highlight the tournament’s scale, DStv partners with Hollywood star Idris Elba. The son of Ghanaian and Sierra Leonean parents revealed on Wednesday that DStv and GOtv will broadcast all 104 matches live.

SuperSport matches the occasion with a fresh lineup of magazine shows, new faces, and masterclasses featuring football experts from across Africa and the world.
