Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) launched the nationwide Tusker Oktobafest tour with a powerful dose of nostalgia on Saturday, packing the Carnivore Grounds with thousands of revelers for an unforgettable 2000s ‘Kulture’ throwback concert.

The event delivered on its promise to unite the biggest hitmakers of the decade on one epic stage, transforming the night into a vibrant celebration of Kenyan music, culture, and local beer.
An electric lineup of artists who defined a generation brought the house down. The industry’s first couple, Nameless and Wahu, delivered their iconic hits, while pioneering hip-hop group Kalamashaka fired up the crowd.
Chart-topping ensemble P-Unit, legendary trio Kleptomaniax, and Genge maestro Jua Cali kept the energy at a fever pitch.
They shared the stage with classic hitmakers Big Pin, Mr. Lenny, and Prezzo, the influential duo Necessary Noize, and the soulful Sainapei.Celebrated DJs Pinye, John Rabar, and Nijo curated the night’s soundtrack, spinning an uninterrupted flow of classic anthems.
Charismatic hosts Muthoni Bwika and the legendary Jimmi Gathu broke the norm by guiding the audience through the night in a dynamic radio show format.
“Working with Tusker to bring this experience to life has been amazing,” said Fakii Liwali from the Kulture team. “The 2000s defined a uniquely Kenyan sound, and seeing the massive turnout proved that the music and the culture are timeless.”
The event’s key sponsor, Johnnie Walker, elevated the experience with a dedicated flavour lounge, where guests sampled an array of free, signature cocktails.
The brand’s participation highlighted its continued investment in Kenya’s creative economy.Brigid Wambua, Senior Brand Manager for Tusker, called the night a “cultural reunion.”
She stated, “Witnessing artists who shaped a generation share the stage and feeling the passion from the attendees confirmed that Kenyan heritage is alive and thriving. This is exactly the spirit we want to carry across the country.”
