Kenya Cane turned The 1922 Lounge into a vibrant hub of Kenyan sound this past Thursday, hosting an exclusive listening party for Yabba’s much-anticipated Wape Wape EP.
The night pulsed with energy as Yabba delivered a powerful, crowd-moving performance of his new project, blending modern rhumba with soulful folk.
He shared the stage with Jeff Lawgan, whose performance perfectly matched the headline act’s vigor.
The celebration of local talent deepened with captivating sets from Costa Ojwang, who fused Luo and Swahili soul, and the legendary Les Wanyika, whose timeless sound ignited the multi-generational crowd.
DJ Tarrus kept the dance floor alive late into the night, mixing classic anthems with contemporary rhythms.
“We are incredibly proud to champion Kenyan talent and celebrate our rich musical heritage,” said Victor Adada, Brand Manager for Kenya Cane.
He stated the event embodied the brand’s commitment to uniting people through vibrant culture.
The evening reinforced Kenya Cane’s role in uplifting local artists and celebrating the stories that shape the nation’s identity.
