The Nairobi Hospital has today issued a robust rebuttal to what it terms “inaccuracies and mischaracterisations” in a recent Daily Nation article, firmly rejecting claims that the institution faces a deepening crisis.
In a detailed statement, the hospital’s leadership clarified that the concerns referenced in the article originate from an individual member of the Admitting Staff Association (ASA) and do not represent the views of the broader medical staff or the Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) . The hospital has accused the publication of elevating individual views into a misleading narrative of institutional failure .
“While public scrutiny is legitimate, it is inaccurate to portray an individual governance matter as evidence of an institutional crisis,” the hospital stated.
The facility dismissed reports of financial collapse, noting that 2024 revenues stood at approximately Sh12.8 billion and that monthly revenues have stabilized at around Sh1.03 billion in early 2026.
Hospital officials further refuted claims of missing billions and a massive loan, stating that the reported Sh9.1 billion deficit figure is misleading and that the hospital is actively reducing its supplier backlog .
