The organization unveiled its new identity on Thursday at its headquarters on Muchai Drive, Ngong Road, reaffirming its commitment to gender equality and social transformation.

Chief Justice Martha Koome, President of the Supreme Court of Kenya, presided over the event and praised the rebranding as a significant evolution beyond a mere name change.

She emphasized ENAF’s expanded vision to replicate its development models beyond Kenya and the urgent need to empower women and girls across the continent.

Justice Koome stressed that achieving gender equality is not solely a women’s issue but a shared responsibility for all members of society.

“We must drive positive change both politically and socially. By dismantling barriers and creating opportunities for women and girls, we can ensure our country and continent thrive,” she highlighted.

“True progress will come when women are not merely surviving but are empowered to flourish.”

The rebranding also prepared for the upcoming International Women’s Day celebrations, reaffirming ENAF’s commitment to advocating for women’s rights in line with the twelve thematic areas of the Beijing Platform for Action.

Justice Koome urged society to rally behind women in overcoming challenges such as gender-based violence, economic inequality, and limited access to justice.

She pointed out that many women endure silent suffering due to trauma and systemic obstacles. “We must break these cycles. Justice is not confined to courtrooms, it lives within our communities, where we must empower women to resolve conflicts and foster peace,” she asserted.

ENAF envisions a future where girls and women enjoy full rights and actively participate in all aspects of society. The foundation aims to partner with like-minded organizations to uplift communities across Africa, prioritizing women and girls in development.

As ENAF embarks on this transformative journey, its leadership urged all stakeholders, governments, civil society, and individuals to unite in advocating for a more just and equitable world for women and girls.
