New mobile-friendly webstore offers lower prices, pre-order delivery to seats and a 5% launch discount through 30 November 2026
Kenya Airways has unveiled a completely refreshed duty-free experience and named Safari Duty Free as its new onboard retail partner. The offering launches on 1 November 2026 and combines a mobile-friendly webstore, an expanded product catalogue, prices up to 15% lower than at airport duty-free shops and a 5% launch discount on all webstore products until 30 November 2026.
The partnership begins Safari Duty Free’s five-year tenure with Kenya Airways and strengthens the airline’s inflight retail business. It gives customers a more seamless shopping experience before and during their journey, with a selection spanning international brands, luxury products, lifestyle items, travel exclusives and curated gifts.
Through the new Kenya Airways Duty-Free Webstore, customers can browse, compare and pre-order products from home or while on the move. Safari Duty Free delivers purchases directly to their seats onboard. Customers can place pre-orders from 40 days up to 72 hours before departure.
The service offers greater convenience, accessibility and flexibility. Customers can track orders and reach 24/7 customer support, while cabin crew provide personalised assistance onboard.
Speaking at the launch event, Julius Thairu, Chief Commercial and Customer Officer at Kenya Airways, said: “Duty-free is an important part of the Kenya Airways customer journey. This launch reflects our commitment to continuously enhancing the travel experience by giving our customers more choice, greater convenience and better value. With Safari Duty Free, we are creating a modern retail experience that begins before take-off and continues seamlessly onboard.”
